Rihanna’s butt-length curls and all other hair artwork at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Premiere
#1 Rihanna’s butt-length curls
RiRi, who has a new song on the film’s soundtrack, hit the purple carpet in a sequined strapless Rick Owens dress with a bold modern bustle detail and undone hem paired with matching super long gloves, all in a taupe shade that lets her hair and makeup shine. To juxtapose the dress’s unique texture, Rihanna opted for full, undone curls that flowed all the way down her back, almost to her butt. The style was parted deep to one side to casually fall over one eye as she posed, looking like a total mermaid come to life on land. (Her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, donned a jacket and pants in a similar shade for the ultimate couple-on-the-carpet moment.)
As for her makeup, the Fenty Beauty founder matched her eyeshadow to her dress in a shimmery taupe and tight liner, a sculpted brow, peach blush and lined lips with just a hint of gloss. She accessorized her look with a ladder of earrings all the way up her ear for a touch of signature edginess. The new mom was absolutely brilliant in her first big appearance since giving birth, and we hope to see more Ri, ASAP.
Rihanna wasn’t the only contestant to bring her coiffure A-game. The film’s stars, including Queen Ramonda herself, Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira rocked elaborate styles while posing on the carpet in equally stunning looks.
#3 Lupita Nyong’o’s Updo
And leave it to Nyong’o to make our jaws drop. The Wakanda warrior wore his hair up, but this was nothing out of the ordinary. In front, woven beads acted as a kind of headband with a crocheted artwork at the back.
#5 Marsai Martin’s Copper Red Updo
Marsai Martin’s copper red knotted updo with spiky pieces, dramatic cat eyeliner and full, fluffy brows was so regal.
#6 Tessa Thompson’s Long Twisted Ponytail
Tessa Thompson wore her hair pulled back in a long, twisted ponytail and side bangs, an elegant pairing with her strapless white dress.
