For the past year, every month I’ve taken a picture of myself dressed up as a family of four (Mom, Dad, young daughter, and emo son) and photoshopped them together to create the awkward family photos relevant to that month. has been created. We documented our monthly journeys on TikTok and Instagram and, with the help of our followers, decided what to do each month.

January – New Year’s Day (Aftermath)
My name is Brynn Shuller. I’m a graphic designer and have been creating photoshop images of these characters for the past 8 years. In 2015, he saw chest hair on a 99 Cent costume in her store, which inspired the idea for the Weird Dad character. About a month later, I took my first photo, a JCPenney-style family photo, and sent it to my actual family and friends as holiday cards. In addition to our annual holiday cards, we’ve created two calendars. One when he traveled from California to Ohio and took pictures in each state he passed through, and his other when he took the theme photos for each month of the year.

Dad Byron is an awkward goofy guy who always has dad jokes ready. Her mother Brinda loves her family and she always wants to capture every moment with her family. Her young daughter Brynney is carefree and she is (usually) excited to be photographed with her family. Emo’s teenage son, Frank, is the family’s outcast, always irritable and not enjoying what his family is doing.

The member who likes to dress up and play is undoubtedly her mother, Brinda. She is unique, fun, and does her best even when she is not good at it. Together with Brynda she created a small series with her called Baking with Baking. There, you’ll have her try and teach you how to bake something. They usually don’t do very well, but she’s fun to try!

I’m still thinking about what I want to do next year. We had the great opportunity to collaborate with Phineas and Ferb co-creator Dan her Povenmire for her October photo in this year’s calendar. It was great to be able to add another person to my photo, I would love to collaborate more with TikTok creators and celebrities. I think you can make a fun calendar again and take nice pictures with this. I’m also thinking about doing a children’s picture book with The Brynns. You have to understand the storyline, but I think that would be a fun way to watch them.The possibilities for them are really endless.
August – Birthday Pool Party (my birth month)
September – Renaissance Festival
It took me a whole year to make the calendar. I took one photo each month and asked my followers for ideas on what to do in the next month. I love the interaction and got inspired by them. They helped me come up with ideas I never would have thought of.
Creating these photos isn’t the only thing I enjoy doing, but I love the reaction I get from people slowly realizing that each person is who I am. I’m so happy, I want to make more and more!
