19-year-old YO discovers his parents gave his siblings gifts even though they agreed not to give them to anyone, he says he won’t be coming home for Christmas
Frankly, no other holiday has more cultural impact than Christmas. This is the time!
Giving gifts, spending time with immediate and distant family, watching Home Alone and the Elves, getting into the festive mood with Michael Bublé, decorating the whole house, and much more!
However, celebrations are also notorious for the amount of stress they love to bring to people. Think about it – money worries, finding time to do everything, practical issues like travel logistics, cooking, and figuring out the family rift that is the star of today’s article.

The man started the post by revealing that his sister Brie is a total brat. He says that her parents spoiled her rotten and that if something didn’t go her way, she would definitely make a fuss. No, but it’s clear she’s got more.

Recently, the author’s parents emailed him with a suggestion for a “less stressful” Christmas. He was perfectly fine with that as he didn’t want anything anyway.

The 19 year old was puzzled. He questioned her mother and said he thought he hadn’t given her gifts this year, but was soon told that Bree was “different” (a brat) and that she was still a baby. Needless to say, he was angry. However, it wasn’t because he wanted a present either, but because he felt like his brother was becoming a favorite again.
He hangs up and decides to go on a little research quest. He logged into her family’s Amazon account and found that Bree had already acquired a lot of things: tablets, their accessories, name-brand makeup cases, and lots of little things.
He called his family to check, but instead was quickly told what to buy by his brother Bree.

The 19-year-old eventually called his family back to tell them he wasn’t coming home for Christmas unless he got a present. He doesn’t want anything fancy. I just want a small gift to balance out the blatant favoritism going on in my family. But his parents called him childish and even said they thought they were better at raising him.
The man hung up and informed his housemate that he could stay during the break. When he explained his decision, they accused him of immature behavior and told him that his parents owed him nothing because he was already an adult.

He tried to elaborate and make it clear that the gifts were not important, that his brothers were clearly treated differently.
