Woman shocked to receive £40 bill after Christmas dinner and wonders what to do next
There is no turning back at this point. We are in the heat of the holiday season. Office parties, cocktails with friends, his time, and family dinners seriously drain us.
Like this story, from 2019, it resurfaced from a woman who wondered if it was unreasonable to feel insulted by having to pay for Christmas dinner at her sister-in-law’s house.
“My SIL said she would host Christmas this year because she has a big new house and plenty of space for all of us. said just shop around and split the cost,” said the author. Headwir3 elaborated in a post he posted on Mumsnet.SIL also suggested that guests bring their own alcohol.
Fast-forward to the post-Christmas blues, dinner was long overdue, and Headwir3 received the long-awaited bill from her SIL. But the amount of scribbling on it made the author feel completely ripped off.
The woman couldn’t believe her eyes after her sister-in-law sent her a hefty bill for the Christmas dinner she had at her house.
