Wedding planning can be a hectic and stressful task, so it makes sense why some people leave some of the responsibility to professionals. You have connections and you definitely have a lot of good ideas. However, they are also human, and if you have the wrong attitude, they can quickly drop you as a customer.

A wedding planner told her TikTok followers about when she had to ‘fire’ a bride
“I just got fired from my bride. It’s a pity we have six months until her wedding, but it’s not bad enough to keep working with her. As many of you know, I have a virtual wedding. A planner, helping plan a bride’s wedding in a suburb of Atlanta, she put off finding a photographer and said, “I’m so overwhelmed, can you help me find a photographer?” Why not?” he said. And I said, “Sure.”

At first, it was a regular client looking for the right photographer for their upcoming wedding.
“She had a very particular aesthetic that she was looking for. I was looking for style, she wanted two shooters, all-day coverage, etc. on a budget.”
I have done so much research and reached out to an Atlanta photographer who fits her aesthetic. I asked them for availability and got pricing information etc. And I found her to be the perfect photographer. And she said, ‘Thank you, I’ll call them and make sure it’s a good fit.’

So planners hunted down matching experts to find the right one.
“She calls me cute today [angry] Says I need to find another photographer. And I was like, ‘Why, what happened?’ She said, ‘Well, his portfolio is great, but his second shooter is his husband.’ Were they disrespectful to you?” She said, “No, they’re perfectly fine. But his second shooter is his husband.” I’m not thinking of anything here. And I’m like, “I don’t understand the problem.”

Unfortunately, the bride’s homophobia led to harassment of the planner and she was dropped as a client.
“She was like, ‘Well, they’re gay. That’s against our values and not appropriate for a family event. I can’t believe you’re comfortable proposing to me.'” First of all, I didn’t know they were gay. She doesn’t make a habit of calling photographers and saying, “Hey, do you happen to be sleeping with the second shooter?” Second, if you spend time researching me or spending her two seconds on my TikTok, you’ll see that I never see it as a problem.
So she said, “Find more photographers.” And I was like, “No honey, I need to find another planner.” So I guess this is a warning to anyone thinking of hiring me.I’m not homophobic. And I don’t want my clients to be. “
