After the company saves £80 by changing the flight to a 12 hours earlier flight, the employee gets creative and instead costs over £1,000

For four years the man had been working on a rotation of 10 weeks in the country and 2 weeks at home, but someone at headquarters decided to cut costs and changed flights, saving the company about £ . 80 (about $96).
The employee obliged, but it also required additional hotel and taxi bookings, ultimately costing the company far more than the ticket itself.
This employee had meticulously planned his travel routine, but knew the company could still improve.
