In a statement, the father said he had no problem with how his daughter dressed.
The OP begins by saying that he has been with his current girlfriend for three years and moved in together six months ago. He said he wanted to make sure their relationship was serious before moving in with him.
As he says, this has proven successful. He told his girlfriend that he wasn’t looking for a stepmother because her daughter was already old enough to not need a new mother figure in her life. Later revealed that her daughter is 16 years old.
Trouble with the story begins when the OP is away for two days on a camping trip and his girlfriend is home with her daughter. He had allowed her daughter to go to the party while she was away, but when he returned she told him that her girlfriend had ordered her while he was away. She was told to “wash off her makeup” and wear “non-provoking” makeup before going out.
OP states that he was furious with his girlfriend. He told her, “She wasn’t allowed to command my daughter,” especially if he had previously allowed it, which caused a big fight, and then his girlfriend and her father said little.
The update comes back 4 days later and the OP starts by saying it’s not a happy one. It got pretty hot, and the OP says he revealed why his girlfriend told his daughter to wash off her makeup.
According to her girlfriend, she looked like “sl*t.” Her father didn’t have any of it, so he told her to pack her bags. They haven’t spoken at all since she moved out. She says she will receive the package next week.
