It’s no big secret that privacy is an important aspect of our existence, especially given how extroverted our world is. Sometimes I think.
This Redditor called u/Nandos Is Not Cheeky Paid extra to stay in that bubble. She booked a seat in the quieter section of the train so she could catch up on her work and unwind.

The Today article star was recently forced to deal with quite a few characters — but she quickly came up with a plan.
The problem was that a woman traveling from Scotland to England had reserved a specific seat in a quiet section of the train so she could work. Shortly after she and her friend were seated, a man in his 40s or her 50s sat next to her and about 15 minutes into the journey decided to yell her “friend” on his iPad. . The author of this post tried to fend off the argument by wearing headphones, but to little effect.
Naturally, her patience wore off and the OP decided to approach the man. The woman mentioned the fact that this was a quiet section of the train, hoping to bring some sense back to the “Friends” fanatics, but this time the man laughed and said she was going to tell him I asked if
The author was heated when he saw his companions calmly gesture to her to leave, but that didn’t work – it wasn’t the OP’s watch. The thing was, I closed my laptop and started watching the show with him, throwing in enough commentary to essentially drive him away.
It worked and the culprit left – but the lady’s friend thinks she might have been an asshole.

The man was unperturbed, just an angrily glance. He then moved his iPad from the table onto his lap while the woman peered over his shoulder and continued to make comments.
At last the time came and the wild traveler could no longer stand it. He slammed his iPad case, grabbed his stuff and walked away. The Redditor sighed in relief, opened his laptop and continued working.
After she and her friend got off, “Lea” said she wished she had just let him go without reacting. But to be fair, it was a 4 hour trip, plus OP paid extra to get the peace!
Lea also said that the woman could have provided him with earbuds, but as we can probably all agree, he’s been doing that with other people, let alone strangers. Sharing things isn’t the smartest thing to do.
