101 times people have restored the old to its former glory
Most of us have two wolves inside of us, constantly fighting each other over which design philosophy is the best. One of them she is a minimalist who likes order, cleanliness and simplicity. For one, she’s a maximalist who enjoys stocking up on things “just in case” and embraces chaos.
We feel that restoring the old keeps both sides of you happy.Take something tired and boring and, with enough persistence, transform itself into a better, upgraded version. Change. Easy to use, beautiful, and proving to be much more accomplished than I thought at the start of the project.
Before you plunge headlong into a project (or buy half of your grandfather’s watch supply from your local thrift store), it’s a very smart way to think about what you’re trying to accomplish. Do you think this is a one time thing or do you think recovery will be a big part of your life?
