Surely everyone dreams of a kitchen where they cook their own food. Well, perhaps with the help of some innovative high-tech he kitchen gadgets, but definitely no manual labor of your own. Knowing this, kitchen appliance makers are doing their best to make our kitchens more autonomous and less time tedious to cook. Great! Think of a whisk, for example. How did you survive before whipping up powdered shakes and morning lattes? Or think about the almighty air fryer. This baby certainly makes our lives easier. But it’s not just the kitchen! Smart appliances like Roombas and window cleaning robots have won our hearts and made our lives easier. However, not all appliances are created equal and some are completely useless. Then, of course, they make a great entry on our worst consumer electronics list.
This glorious list of bad appliances includes, but is not limited to, smartphone-controlled kitty fountains (very effective at scaring cats). Then there’s something called the Porkfolio. This is just a glorified piggy bank. And then there’s Star Trek’s Borg Cube refrigerator. We are also confused about this, so please don’t ask about it. So there are a lot of hilariously bad appliances that we’re sure we’re glad we didn’t buy!
