Come to think of it, parking is nothing but a great pain where the sun doesn’t shine.

Just kidding, as soon as someone becomes a proud car owner, they suddenly have to worry about where they keep their car when it’s not in use. Also, you can’t leave it anywhere. It must be a specific area where cars can pass. And what do you think? Not all spaces are free to use. And free stuff is often not taken. It doesn’t help that some people can’t park to save their lives. look? Only problem.

And it doesn’t end there, as stories like this are surfacing online showing just how problematic parking can be. If you can find some kind of loophole, it is.

In short, it started with a $240 fine and accrued $625 worth of free parking over 21 months.

Reddit user u/roodeeMental recently went We had r/MaliciousCompliance share how parking tickets saved them tons of money. The story goes that the OP had been quarantined for two weeks due to Covid so hadn’t actually been to the car or used it. . A wild car park officer was subsequently fined around £200, or around US$240, after a stubborn exchange.

The parking manager explained that all was well with the payment, but that we had to show the permit sticker on the car for the cops to see. They didn’t see it, so they issued a ticket. And it was at this point that I realized the OP didn’t check the database. This prompted the OP to immediately call and cancel the parking subscription. This he was £25 or almost US$30. And then they hung up and continued to park there.

21 months since then. Never paid for a parking space. I have never been fined for a parking violation. As long as the sticker is there, even if it’s incredibly faded, it’s all good.This is because in this 21 months of his life the OP has saved him £525 (approximately US$625) on parking fees. I mean All because of malicious compliance with the mechanics there.

bored panda I contacted u/roodeeMental to learn more about parking conditions in the area. The day was boring so the OP thought to share a “little achievement” and in just over a day she was surprised by nearly 12,500 upvotes (98% positive).

“If I knew how their system worked, I could have started [maliciously complying] In my second month,” the OP elaborated. “On my account, I could have kept the parking fee low. But honestly, I prefer to be non-exploitative. But they really pushed my button.”

Well, they pushed enough buttons to last 21 months of malicious compliance. The next month came to an end, ending an almost two-year streak of not caring about car placement fees. “I will move out in a month. It seems that there is no problem even if it becomes thin.”

“I think it’s a case of spending more time, effort and money going into checking the right system than not having a database system. Just like you don’t check,” the OP elaborated.

“I also think that the rental brokers and parking brokers work together to make different payments depending on different terms. So it’s not the actual fixed price, just the permit you agree to pay. Others here will definitely know before I leave.I will leave a sign on the bulletin board in the hallway for other car users.

“The only thing I would add is that there is an active fight between those who have almost some sort of land to exploit the landless. should be regulated.”
