This article was first posted on AITA’s subreddit a little over a year ago. The original poster (OP) wanted to know if he went too far and if he should stop teaching people lessons the way he did.
What happened was that a man came to Walmart and saw two women with carts blocking the way for the workers. Her employees were rude to her politely but the ladies looked at her with her annoying eyes.
This kind of attitude always irritates the OP, but he smiled at her, showed support, and figured he would stand up for her. Sure, and he intended to, but he felt like messing around.
The OP saw a woman carrying a purse in one of the carts, but the other one contained only groceries, so he took it and walked away. meant she could keep working and keep her job, but the man didn’t think it was enough, so the rude woman was trying to catch her, so she took the items from the cart back to the shelf as best she could. I started. Cart back.
He did the same thing with the other woman’s cart and actually took some groceries and bought some for himself as needed. I left the store as if.

When the OP first spoke, people assumed he was a jerk in the situation.. not very accurate about what went where.
But quite a few people justified him being a jerk. Because the ladies deserve it and no real harm was done except the shelves were a bit of a mess.
This was an event the OP hadn’t thought of much, but I remembered when I went to the restaurant a while ago and the server seemed familiar. He asked if she worked at Walmart, which turned out to be the same employee he had taken revenge on.She said the server also recognized the man and was very excited to see him. rice field.
She wanted to tell him what happened after he left and how he became folklore in the store. They complained to the manager that the guy was stealing their stuff which wasn’t true as they hadn’t paid yet but they wanted the OP to be arrested .
So all the people who called the OP a jerk for causing trouble for his employees in AITA’s comments were wrong because the man mentioned her.
The woman ignored the request, which irritated the man, so instead of saying something, he decided to do something.

Responding to the story in an update to the Petty Revenge subreddit, people usually praise the man for defending an employee who is unprotected by his employer and can’t really do anything to an entitled customer. After they saw a couple of Karens in place, they reassured him that it would be worth putting some extra items back on the shelf. . Readers found this situation quite interesting and were satisfied with such a happy update.
He grabbed one of the women’s carts, walked away, and began putting her things back on the shelf.

The situation OP saw is fairly common, with retail employees serving qualified customers on a daily basis. There are qualified people everywhere, but the problem with working in retail is that, in theory, you can’t tell them anything.
Retail and service employees are taught that the customer is always right, even when the customer’s demands and actions are unacceptable in various circumstances. Customers know what employees are being taught and abuse their position.
