Eligible couples expect guests to fund £75k weddings, making £1,500 per person
“I have nothing to do with my brother and his fiancée,” said a person on Reddit who goes by the name Spidercactus56. Posting to the Wedding Shaming Community.
They said, “They’ve done so much over the years that they’ve lost contact with family and friends, but that’s a heap of other stories.”
The author’s last drop was their upcoming wedding. “What pissed off a lot of people was that if you want to go to their wedding, you have to pay your wedding share,” the Redditor shared, adding, “This was discussed beforehand. No, it was expected. Everyone’s.”
Plus, weddings weren’t cheap, to say the least. And the drama escalates to a boiling point.
Recently, someone turned to the subreddit to share how it was done with eligible siblings who everyone expects to pay for a lavish wedding… twice.
