90 ‘elves on the shelf’ ideas that will make you laugh or at least admire people’s creativity, shared on this Facebook page

co-founder Toni “Elfin Around” kindly answered Bored Panda’s questions about the Facebook group and the Elf-on-the-Shelf phenomenon.

Bored Panda wanted to hear Toni’s take on why people love Elves on the Shelf so much and why it’s such a popular concept.

“Kids are young for such a short period of time. The key for me is to tap into their imagination and belief in magic during that time. Elf on the Shelf is a great way for parents to experience the magic of Christmas.” “It’s a great way to bring it to life in your children. Create wonderful memories that they will look back on fondly when they grow up,” she told us.

“As parents, we all want to see our children happy. It is priceless that our children wake up each morning to feel the joy to see what the elves have done, and we all want to see them happy. Every midnight on the moon is worth it,” she said.

We honestly couldn’t stop smiling when we saw how imaginative some of the holiday decorations were. People are going one step further and sharing their ideas with the world. I can’t help but want to do something similar, but it takes some personal creative effort.

To keep the whole community running smoothly, the team of administrators and moderators who run Elfing Around ask members to follow certain rules. “We work together to create a welcoming environment. Treat everyone with respect. Healthy debate is natural, but kindness is necessary.” and encourage everyone to be polite to each other.

“Let everyone feel safe. No bullying of any kind is allowed,” they point out that they have a zero-tolerance policy against degrading comments.

There is also no room for spam or irrelevant links. You should focus on your shelf decorations and ideas. Self-promotion and product promotion, on the other hand, are only allowed in certain weekly posts.

“Being part of this group requires mutual trust. When sharing photos of your children, remember that this group is public and can be shared by other members. Before you post to a group, think about whether your child is happy to post a photo or video on the Internet.Videos of clearly upset children will not be approved.Your FB page Please share on , but not in this group,” the team that runs the group has set a few ground rules for all other members.

The idea for the elf on the shelf came from the 2005 American children’s picture book The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition.
